When 4 year old Page Boy Brock asked me recently if I was the 'Boss of the Wedding’, my initial reaction was to laugh and say no!...however his question did make me reflect later on the bigger picture of How to Choose a Sunshine Coast Celebrant for your Wedding Day and if they do infact need to be a ‘boss’.
If you have ever considered all the things the celebrant takes care of in the lead up to the big day....you will be on the right track in realising that making the correct choice of celebrant for your Wedding... the most important day of your life, is imperative and one decision you do not want to regret. A celebrant takes up a tiny percentage of a wedding budget yet without a good one; too many things will be left to chance!
From the first contact, a relationship develops whereby I as your celebrant will get to know you both, this is critical for being able to create a ceremony that is perfect for you. I help you to choose a sensational place for your Wedding and if you wish, put you in touch with trusted and recommended Wedding suppliers for photography, flowers, styling, hair and make-up etc.
I take on the organisation of every aspect of your ceremony, ticking all the legal boxes both before and after your wedding, doing everything as promised...and more, and gently guiding you to choose or write your vows to each other, supplying extensive ceremony resources, standing right behind you at this all important moment, being the person you immediately look to for support and with just one glance, instantly calming and reassuring you that is just how we practised in the rehearsal, sharing laughs and funny moments that we have developed together along the way.
Putting family members and guests at ease, ensuring the venue and other suppliers are all on the same page, being available at any time of day to rapidly respond to your concerns and queries or giving honest advice, as well as writing a beautiful ceremony entirely for the two of you, tying up all the loose ends, being practical, pragmatic, proactive, yet gentle, caring and attentive, keeping everyone in the right place, remembering all the small details yet at the same time leaving you both space to take heart of what you are doing on the day rather than stressing.
So yes; I think I will have to agree with Page Boy Brock, I guess I am the boss of the wedding (a good boss)...at least for a short while!
